Description:
The Scamp is a quirky and purposeful adventure vessel, instantly recognizable by its 'stubby' profile, high sides, and clever cabin-ette. Designed with a deep, secure cockpit and water-ballast capability, the Scamp offers a secure and inviting environment for coastal camping or solo expeditions. Its aesthetic is one of 'form-follows-adventure'-emphasizing clever use of space, rugged hardware, and the natural beauty of high-grade wood.
Our workshop builds faithful recreations using premium marine Mahogany, Western Red Cedar, and Teak-reinforced with fiberglass cloth and sealed with high-grade marine epoxy. Each boat is handcrafted using authentic lapstrake (clinker) methods, with each plank meticulously fitted and finished with multiple coats of marine spar varnish to achieve deep gloss and long-lasting protection. The interior is updated with modern marine-grade vinyls while retaining the period-correct aesthetic and polished hardware. Typical build time ranges from 4-6 months depending on customization.

History:
The Scamp is the definitive icon of the 'pocket-adventurer,' a pint-sized powerhouse designed to prove that you don't need a big ship to have a big adventure. Born from the micro-cruiser movement, the Scamp was refined to be the most capable small boat in the world-offering stability, safety, and overnighting features usually reserved for vessels twice its size. It is a vessel born from a 'limitless' philosophy-built for those who want to explore every creek and cove on the map.
Celebrated for its 'unsinkable' feel and incredible storage capacity, the Scamp was the preferred choice for solo adventurers and 'raid' racers who valued versatility over pure speed. Its design utilizes a unique hull shape that allows it to beach easily and handle rough water with surprising poise. This legacy of pluck and ingenuity has made the Scamp one of the most beloved and collectible names in the modern wooden boating community.
